Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 05/15/2015 10:57 am It was the result of a bad batch of insert rings that didn't have the UV stabilizer in it. That caused it to discolor. You don't see them very often, and it will not harm the coin. NGC had a similar problem with a batch of their inserts on the NGC 5 slabs that caused the white inserts to turn a yellow cream color. Report this Post to the Staff

Funny, it was a submission of 7 dollars, and the 4 Peace dollars' rings turned green, but not the 3 Morgans. There was another thread on this, but couldn't find it. Report this Post to the Staff
