The coin album lottery has been hit, jack pot, woo hoo. Okay now that the theatrics are over. The truth is I have been hunting for the mythical dansco 7070 album for a year but all of them have been way over priced. Then it happened today. I was randomly browsing ebay and just out of curiosity put in dansco 7070 all of sudden I saw one list price $20.00 with a buy it now. I thought been there seen that $20.00 list, buy it now $100.00. Folks I like to have fell on the floor when I saw the buy it now price was $20.00, I have never hit that buy it now button so fast and that's why I feel like I hit the lottery! Also it was a reputable ebayer over 2000 happy transactions, no negative reviews, and a great return policy. I just had to share this momentous occasion with y'all.

I too got an awesome deal on my 7070. It is quite used and old, as the newest coins in it were the bicentennial coins, but was able to trade a Silver Maple Leaf for it when silver was around $18-$20 an ounce. From one of the very nice CCF members here too! :) it was my first trade.

I still have that Maple Leaf, too! @CS1997: That is a great price. Did it come with the gold page and page 6? I love Dansco Albums and collecting coins by type, especially foreign coins, now if I could only find sweet deals like GR58 on old foreign Dansco Type set albums! Oh, and not sure if I have said this, but !

Wonder how long it is going to take the Chinese counterfeiters to start on old albums and books?

@matttheriley, it doesn't have the gold page which is fine with me. I have many of the coins in ms to go in there, and quite a few that I need to get before I am ready to tackle the gold page. As far as the 6th page is that the modern coin page with bicentennials, sacagewea, and the State Quarter?

Congrats! I was in the same boat. Wanted a 7070, didn't wanna drop $65 on an album (that's coin money after all!). Walked into the LCS one day & there was 2 of them laying on the shelf. I asked if it was for sale & he assumed I meant the coins inside. He said, "Sorry they're empty". I told him I was interested in the album itself. He let me pull the best pages out of both albums & create a great one. I had a new (to me) 7070 for $20. I imagine I felt like you do now.
