After completing 1934-date in BU RED I wanted to try something a little different for the first two pages. 1909-1933. Some of them are ridiculous money in RED. After going over the pages I was getting bored of having every cent red.
So I started buying toned Wheaties in a hope that once day I will be able to complete most of the two pages I need with radically toned wheats.

1910 I just purchased

Picked this chocolate blue 1931-s up yesterday,it was at the very first table I looked at.
Stunner of a coin in hand. Hard to get that blue to show up through pictures underneath that chocolate color.

The reverse is a absolute stunner on this one!

A little woody action for everyone too.
This came out of a NGC CAC 63 holder.

Outstanding toned Wheaties. but IMHO the obverse of the 31-s might be artificial toning. hope I'm wrong.

Thank you! It looks different in the pictures. It looks like it was uhmm stained maybe. Under the right light you can see the blue underneath the chocolate so I am hoping it isn't AT. The coin in hand doesn't look that dark. Now your going to make me look over that coin for a hour lol.

As a rule, I'm not a big fan of toned coins but, I've got to say...these are great looking, especially the 1931S

Dave then you should pay attention to this thread as I uodate it . =). I never really had a thing for toned coins.. Until I saw the "over the rainbow collection of proofs. My god my floor was on the floor. I think if you have two pages clustered with radically toned wheats it will make for a stunner of a album!
