this is part of a batch of antique coins (1 V nickel and 15 Indian head pennies)my family received from the estate of our former renter who died back in November. His family didn't want anything to do with his belongings and as the land lords kept most of his property after several months passed.

but here is the coin it is well worn but the date is 100% legible this was from a age when a nickel was made from nickel. LOL

Grades as a ag3 worth maybe a buck if your lucky...

better than being worth face value. I heard these are usually 11 to 15x face for legible dates.

You know Nickels have always been 75% copper, right? The alloy hasn't changed since 1866.

In my opinion ...

With the reverse being very worn, maybe AG grade.
I think it would be hard to get much for this coin.
When you can buy G/VG V nickels for around a $1.00


FYI ... the only nickels between 1866 and 1912 to
have a mint mark, are the 1912 nickels.

AG-3 details ,harshly cleaned. 50 cents from LCS counter box.

either it was harshly cleaned or it was really circulated. All I know Is I didn't do this this is the way I got it.
