When I seen (saw?) this picture the first thing I though about was could you imagine if there was a 1923 Canadian or a 1909 s vdb laying in that box?

Depending on the penny, it might actually be a good deal.

"Saw" is correct for standard English, though in some dialects "seen" is preferred as the past tense.

I should start a saw vs seen thread in general discussion. For what ever reason that is the only verb I have a problem conjugating.

I'm still waiting for someone to comment " I believe he means lucky cent..."

There used to be a dealer in North NJ. I think from Roxbury coins if I am not mistaken. He used to go around in those "need a penny, take a penny" things by the cash register and put key date pennies to try to get people into coins. I mean 1909 svdb,1922,1955 lincolns. Can you imagine what that must feel like!
I thought about it and what a wonderful way to put key dates back into the wild for someone to hopefully find and pick up and then get hooked on coins because they found a 3-800 dollar penny hanging out!
Rest in Peace

No not me!! The dealer that I mentioned. He would go out and put them in there. Wowsers, I check them all the time in hopes of he still does it, or someone or I just get lucky.
