That's a remarkable amount of coin to be seeing in a serious ebay auction. Has to be worth north of $5000 even in a Details, Damaged slab.

I don't think it deserves a details slab IMHO.
Rest in Peace

Seems odd to have this caliber coin for auction when there has been no other activity selling in over a year and it appears no past coin auctions.

I saw what I thought was the damaged part, then I read further into the description and that's what it was. On the reverse side right above the right eagles wing they have that crack.

The reverse crack, or scratch?, does look fairly insignificant but it's more than a contact mark. This coin is out of line with the seller's previous activity selling purses/jewelry/art, but she does have 15 years standing with 100% feedback. It looks real enough and if it were a common details slab I don't think anyone would think twice about it.

I threw a bid in just to get updated on the status of it. If you are looking at the reverse of the coin,it is above the right eagles wing. Seller mentions it in the description.

I wanna almost take a stab at this coin..I checked ngc and the pic and numbers match.
Sent a mail to seller asking the back story on it and have no response yet.
Besides the seller not selling much in last year am o wrong to think this might be a good deal.
If I bid I'll let everyone know if I got it.

I also sent a query with no response. The seller's small amount of recent feedback is as a buyer too. And the time window on the auction is short. If it's legit it's a great value but I'm out on this one.

I would advise not buying this...
I found an auction that ended in march for exact coin and emailed the auction seller.
It sold for over 7 k in march and buyer was from Illinois and very happy with his coin.
He also sent 2 emails to the seller asking where it came from with no response as well as this seller using the exact photos the other seller used.
Scam written all over this deal.

Ah ebay. I thought maybe it was stolen.
