A 1953S Wheat penny, a 1970S cent, and a 1970S nickel! This might have been the first time I found anything interesting while actively looking for it. A good day for sure!

Here on the East Coast, S mints are few especially amongst the LWC population. I tend to separate these out during a CRH event with the expectation that I'll only retain the best (AU or better) or if they are a variety specimen.

Enjoy the finds!

I used to keep the "current" S mint nickels until I realized I had a ton of them.

"Current" S mint LMC's are a little harder to find so I keep those.

ANY Wheat cent is a keeper.

Check your 1970S for the small and large dates.
