I recently aquired two error pennies and I was wondering what they are worth. One is a 1944 penny with 2 clip errors (two "crescents" missing from the edges) and a lamination error that makes it look sorta like it has a crack down the center. The other one has a date error where the 4th digit got messsed up so it reads "194/".
thanks!

Photos are pretty much required, but the second coin sounds like PMD, so no premium.

Loaded question on value. Condition is a determining fact.

The 194/cent is probably coin wrapper/vending machine damage if it is parallel to the rim.

They are both in fair shale I would say. The engraving isn't faded but they are also not shiny at all.
Rest in Peace

The prices for error coins are all over the place -- or so it seems to me. The condition of the coin really makes a difference. An uncirculated error coin will have a much higher price than a coin that shows wear or damage.

You could get a lot more info. about your coins if we have pics.

Meanwhile, search around on ebay to look for similar error coins and see what they're going for -- that should give you some idea of your coins' value.

to CCF. The second one does sound like PMD. Here is a link for the incomplete planchet for an idea of value http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...Sold=1&rt=nc
Post pics if you can,it would help.
