I recently bought this Washington quarter. It looks like it is toned but I thought could have been cleaned? What do you think?

Ok I wasn't thinking it was cleaned, but I just wanted to clear any doubts.

I don't see any scratches that would indicate it's been polished.

The E in 'quarter' looks odd. Did it take a hit there?

I came back to take another look at that E. It's fine. I think I was having a bit of trouble focusing because I was leaning toward the screen to search for scratches. Sorry if I made you take a look at it.

Not cleaned, I've seen others that tone like that too.

That's how it should look. Nice, original coin!
