Went to the bank recently to do a quick inventory of my box.....haven't done it in awhile.....found this set of circulated Franklin halves on the bottom - I had completely forgotten about it. Its from the early years of my collecting coins - even before I felt I had enough coins to create a spreadsheet.....been laying in there on the bottom of the box for at least seven or eight years. What a trip, huh?

Always nice finding stuff like this! I would rather find this than a couple hundred bucks that I left in a pair of jeans.

Yep, a real nice surprise, Some years after I had put this one away (having forgotten it) I started and completed a BU/PF set of Franklin halves, and its in the box too.....just not as far down as this one was - started it after I finally got around to creating a spreadsheet, so I knew it was there - just didn't remember this one. And, yes, GR58, the Morgans are in there too. Well, all except this set I'm working on right now - only got 80 coins in it so far, so it'll be awhile before I get it completed, and, then, it'll wind up in there too. Man! That box is full of love!

I think I am at 77 on my first set of Morgan's. I hope I can finish it someday.
I am guessing you have the large size bank box.
For me all I can get are the small size boxes.
I am on the list for a large one.

If I were you I'd transfer them into an Album. Nice set and sort of like finding them all over again.

GR58 - I'm working on number 5 right now, and yes, I have a big one - needed it - all my completed sets (around 30) are in Dansco Albums, and they eat up space.....started with a small one, but, as the collection grew, the need for more room for storage also grew. Still got the small one, but the big one was necessary.

CelticKnot - I think the reason I don't go to the bank all that often is simple.....pure laziness. After I created a spreadsheet, I started saving scans of each coin, so, with a simple click, I can look at each coin without leaving the house, and, as a safeguard/backup, I downloaded all the scans to a memory stick.
