I respectfully disagree that this is a mis-aligned die. The coin in question is not off-center at all, and the anomoly goes all of the way around the coins perimeter. I agree that mis-aligned dies are very common and carry no premium, I see them all of the time, but this is the first coin that I have seen like this in my 10+ years of collecting.
A few other collectors have suggested that it may be a "collar clash", although that is a new one to me. Still interested in getting some more opinions/insight.
