It is a Morgan silver dollar from New Orleans mint. Very nice find.

The mods are gonna move this to classics. We'll help you over there. A common year/mm in f15 range but a nice looking dug coin with what looks like nice original surfaces! Aside from the small rim dings she's nice where the heck did you dig her up at and does she have any friends?

Also take some cropped full shots and zoom shots of the date and mm and post them in the classics VAM forum and we'll attribute the die pairings which could give it some extra value. Emphasis on could

Wow! Amazing find! Super nice. it is a common date/mint mark. It is also silver. Probably 20 bucks. Very nice

NO CLEAN! when you clean it you will lose almost all collectability. same goes for the indian head you found, if the indian has green there is a treatment called verdicare. to learn about verdicare just use the forum search engine.

Unless you have more coins that need preserving, purchasing VerdiCare wouldn't be worthwhile, money-wise. Your Indian Head cent probably has a value of $20 or less.
