This may have been asked before. How do you deal with coins turning inside of coin albums? My 7070 dansco has coin turning issues. Thanks for any help. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

By turning I suppose you mean the coins are actually turning. This usually happens when coins are sort of worn and have a lesser diameter. That is something no manufacturer can anticipate. However, also some manufacturers just have looser tolerances in their products. If that is what your experiencing, not much you can do. However, in the past I've seen people place a small piece of cotton or cloth in with those coins that do that. Other than that, you may want to try a different brand Album. Lots of them on the market.

Thanks Carl I will give that a try. This is a used 7070 that looks in good shape. Best thing is I finally got it filled.

I have the same problem. Whenever I open my 7070, my 1847 Seated dime spins around a ton, as does my 1895-O Barber Half.

Clearly your coins are possessed. I recommend exorcism. If that doesn't work, go with what carl says.

You can use some of the slide material (acetate) to make shims.

I've used some small slivers of Manila style paper to shim my coins in. If you look closely at my Large Cents in my 7070, you can see them.

Notice I said slide material, not the slides themselves.
