I'm a 19 year old teenager with multiple hobbies including gardening, piano, yugioh, fish/bird keeping, stamp/coin collecting, traveling, and of course, video games [

My mom gave me her stamps to collect but they are sitting in the closet collecting dust now... I should get back to the stamps sometime soon. Anyhow, I'm fairly new to coin collecting. I used to collect coins from my change a couple of years ago (when national parks were only introduced) but now I'm back at it again! I have many coin albums that I'm working on. And now I'm into roll hunting

My coin interests are mainly US coins. I love to hunt for silver quarters. My very first roll I ever opened had 3 1964 silver quarters! After that, no luck with silver

Now I'm into penny rolls and quarters every now and then. I find it more fun to open penny rolls. I get Canadian, American and other country currency.

Another thing I like about coin collecting is that IT IS FREE!! I get the same amount of money I trade in at the bank.

If you want to know more about me, don't be afraid to ask.

welcome to the coin roll hunting addiction.

[best Eagles song voice] you can check out any time you like, but you can . . . never leave.

Consider also looking for cent varieties, errors, etc., some of which have nice premiums. See, for example, the doubling identification list at The Lincoln Cent Resource, Doubled Dies.

http://www.lincolncentresource.com/...bledies.html

Other folks here know a lot more than I do and can point you (and me) to other variety/error resources.

For example, I save out all 1995's I encounter and check for doubled dies. Even when I do not find the variety I am looking for, saving out specific dates makes me feel like I get a better keeper ratio for my rolls.

You're smart to collect the way you do -- for free. There's a lot to learn before you start buying coins.

Thanks for the welcomes :D
I'm focusing on pennies and quarters right now. Don't really look for errors, I don't know where to look for it on the coin (they all look the same to me -_-) but I do look at the mint mark xD
