Could This Possibly Be An 1859 Snow-1 Indian Head Cent?

I don't think so. The date position is too low to match the S-1. The date on the S-1 is closer to the bust than the denticles. The date position matches S-2 better, but there's a lot of crud around the date so it's very hard to make anything out. I've looked for the S-1 in the past, but the repunching is so subtle (doesn't stick out boldly) I'd probably miss it unless the pictures were even better than the one in this thread.

Agree with Mike1487 - date too low for S-1, but the basic position and denticle-relationships are indeed very similar.
