SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 06/21/2015 5:40 pm Well, it's Pop 1/0 as a PL (more on that in a minute) but PCGS and NGC combined have over 100 MS70's, and you know that's an accurate number because who cracks a 70? Went back a few years on Heritage regarding this coin, and it looks like there's this single 69PL which has been through about a half dozen labs looking for that 70PL upgrade. This is the newest slab. Or even a 70 without the PL, which would triple the price anyway. Report this Post to the Staff
Bret Pillar of the Community United States 1913 Posts	Posted 06/21/2015 5:43 pm I looked up NGC's census figures. They've graded 867 that were not PL and 51 that were PL. Of the 51 that were PL, 1 graded MS68 and 50 graded MS69. None graded MS70. Comparing the price of a PL to one that's not a PL is like comparing the price of a 69 to a 70. I did a search on ebay and found that only three SM69PL's have sold since April. All were from the same seller and went for $49.00. I think you did just fine. Very nice coin!
