My dad found this a while ago. The pictures are not great since I am using an old digital camera. The picture of the obverse lost the detail of the motto and top of the hair by making them look flat, but the rest is pretty accurate of what it looks like in hand. What do you guys think?

That's one heck of a "find."

Closer pics of the mintmark would be helpful.

Looks genuine to me, MM serifs are correct, lettering correct, has diagnostic die crack from eagle's head to left wing and die chip/crack on "BUS" in PLURIBUS (both die markers for 1932-S)...

brb, drooling all over keyboard. That reverse strike..man. What a beauty.

Grade? MS-63. It's worth taking it to a local coin shop to have them submit it to PCGS or one of the other TPG's for you, if it makes a slabbed problem-free/authentic MS-63 this is a $800 coin -- even if it comes back AU it's still $250.

The fakes I have seen on ebay don't have the die markers, usually. I suppose this could be a clever altered counterfeit but it looks very legit.

OMG.

Best CRS find I've ever seen :(

To Wheat fans, this would be the equivalent of finding an MS-63RD genuine 1909-S VDB in the reject slot.
