This is unfortunately not genuine. Supposedly dated 1912.

Year 1 starts off with 1912 and then you add the years from there. This can also be used to date Taiwanese coins.

This coin was free and came with no claims, so I am not disappointed. And the learning process is worth a great deal. I should try a few more later. Thanks gxseries.

There are several coin-date calendar converters out there on the INternet. This is the one I use, while this one is also popular.
