I just bought this coin the other day to upgrade the one I had in my 7070. I would really appreciate any input on grade. The surfaces are really reflective, but it is tough to capture in photos. Thanks everyone.

I very attractive coin MS64 PL. Looks like there are some die polish lines on the reverse as the lines do not appear to be cleaning marks.

Look at the last full rev pic on my VAM 36 link guys... The polish lines are an eds for that reverse die. I'm not sure if its paired with a different obverse though so I didn't want to commit to the op that 36 is it but it has to be that reverse die because the mm's are in the same, very unique position

Thanks everyone for the responses. The coin definitely has PL qualities, which is why I snatched it up. The lines are die polishing lines. Cascade, I looked at your link and found the same markers for the obverse and reverse on my coin for VAM 36. I've never looked much into VAM's before, but found this to be pretty interesting. Would being an R-5 VAM add any extra value?

VAMs are more valued by VAMmers than the numismatic community at large, although more and more people are getting aboard the VAM wagon these days. :) Yes, being a VAM 36 would add extra value. How much is entirely dependent on who's wanting to buy the coin and who's wanting to sell it. That value increases if attributed in reputable TPG plastic. However, like every coin you collect, it has two values: what it's worth to you, and what it's worth to others. Grade, I'm gonna hang my hat on the MS-63PL peg. She's a beauty and needs to be treasured as such. If the grader is feeling nice and/or understands the issues with grading PL morgans it could make a 64.
