Unsure if that is ghosting going on, or a strong clash being faded out by the VLDS. An interesting coin for sure.

Ghosting and clashes occupy the same areas of the coin and at this point with as much wear that we see on this coin and the die, I'd say it could be either or a combination of both.

It looks like extreme die wear. The circulation also has removed some of it's clarity.
