The angles of the photos make me I see this as 022. Just because of the basic shape of the MM.

Angles making me dizzy. But hey this is my birth year so that makes me dizzy. Then I look past 022 and see more potential and that makes me dizzy. Will check back in later when the coffee to beer ratio is more on the coffee side. Thanks, Doug.

Lol. Yea dizzy is an understatement. I could not get a clear picture to save my life. If it ever gets sold it's listed as 22/23 take your pick.

Chronoswiss, Feel your pain. I think you take some pretty good clear photos. My issue was with all the angle shots going back and forth showing good detail of the MM, but left one thing I found hard to determine was the MM,s exact location. Please don't confuse angle with rotation. Rotation I can deal with by turning my head or rotating an image on the screen if needed, but unless your using 3D software, angles can not be manipulated straight on, because they are askew. If you notice on coppercoins and most other coin sites usually have at least one straight on pic to show the MM location in reference to the date or pending the coin type other surrounding features. When comparing an angle shot to a straight on shot at CC, makes it difficult to line up the MM's vertical and horizontal location in reference to the date. Some people make digital overlays, but I still mostly use the visual overlay I create in my head and or use side by side comparisons. The last thing that made my head spin was the vertical bar in the MM and the MM's location that are shown on CC's. Several look very similar in appearance and location in this case. Other markers play a roll then, which I yet to match up positively. You have the coin in hand and I say you make the call. 1961D-1MM-022 looks close, but close is my best call for now. Thanks, Doug.

Quote: This is an insult to CCF. Bpoc1, Sorry if I offended you or anyone. After spending 30 - 45 minutes trying to make positive id on this MM, I had to step away to run errands. The quick comments were only meant (in humor) to inform the OP I was looking, but needed to step away from the keyboard and would return to the assessment later. Thanks, Doug.

The bottom serrif gives it away. Look at the shape of the MM compared to 23. Completely different.

Looks like a sinking ship when the images of the devices aren't horizontal. I'm not sure at this point yet, but leaning towards 034? So better images showing the full date and mint mark area horizontal would be a great start. But it is definitely a nice RPM. There are a few dies on coppercoins that aren't there yet. So I can check my e-disk with these new images.

Looks more like 1961D-1MM-022. The die flow lines under the mint mark was making it appear to be a different/new variety. But with images rotated correctly, it was the die flow that was making it appear as something else. Also the die flow matches the example on coppercoins. (your coin was struck some time after that example on coppercoins) See how important it is to have them rotated horizontal?
