Hey, I was wondering if this coin ever got released into circulation. I have been trying to look for it, but everytime I see a shiny new 50 cent, its always 2006. Does anyone actually have this coin?

Yes, I think a fair bit more got released a couple of weeks ago or the level of production just increased recently. I've got five here at the moment but each of them have scratches etc that I can't live with and it's just hard to pick one and sent the rest off to circulation. I still have yet to find a 2007 5 cent though.

I have found plenty of 2007 20¢ (but not many worth keeping -amazing how quickly they get scratched).
But, so far, not one 2007 50¢ and I sort more than $200 of these each week, on average. They do seem very slow to surface.

I have found a lot of 2007 20 cent, but most on them in very good condition. I only keep one however and throw the rest back. :)

This is the only 2007 circulation coin that I haven't yet seen in Brisbane.
Lots of new 2006 ones around at present.

I agree, I still haven't seen one, and I'm still wondering how gx got so many, but wants to throw them away...:((((( lol.

I pulled another 3 today but none of them met my expectations and I sent them all back to circulation - too heavily scratched for some reason. Funny thing is, I'm finding more 2007 50 cents than any of the other coins these days - I can't even find any APEC dollar coins for almost the whole year since last year's Jan! I'm in NSW so distribution of such coins might be quite interesting. I am more than happy to send them out for people that are need them but I'll rather have you wait for a bit longer.  Hopefully you'll find decent examples instead of the ones that I have. |

Speaking of the devil, I got a aUNC APEC dollar coin too today. I guess I am getting too much of the new coins these days. I'll take a photo of the batch of 2007 50 cents that I pulled from circulation when I get the time, hopefully tomorrow.

Wow. I've got the ten, the twenty and the APEC dollar coin, but myself I still need a five, a fifty and a two dollar coin for 2007. :(

ElleKitty, I'm always open to trade but I don't have any 07 50¢'s yet. I can let you have the 5¢ & $2.00 in exchange for some Statehood Quarters I'm after. One or two each of some of these will do. 2004 - Texas D 2006 - Sth Dakota P 2007 - Wyoming P & D 2007 - Idaho P & D 2007 - Utah P & D |

Nancy, I can most certainly send you the Texas quarters. I stockpiled those, since they're my home state. Wyoming I can do, and probably the Idaho. All D mints though, Ps are pretty scarce to come by down here unless I buy 'em from the shop. I haven't seen any Utah in circulation at all, I bought mine straight from my dealer. Current theory is that the Banks are so saturated with State Quarters, they're just not buying them anymore. I'll put together at least 8 quarters for you and get them out into the mail sometime this week. :) Thanks! |
