Foxwoods Man, there's no need to call names (ethics police). I'm merely sharing my opinion and offering an explanation for it. I make no apologies for considering the impact of my actions on others. My primary point is simple. While it isn't illegal (like cutting in line), when someone seeks to get around purchasing limits by getting another to do a straw purchase for them or someone does a straw purchase for another, then they have crossed the line to being unethical. So long as one adheres to the limits themselves, I would not say that there's anything wrong with taking a gamble on a purchase in hopes of making a profit.
Definition of unethical: lacking moral principles; unwilling to adhere to proper rules of conduct; not in accord with the standards of a profession

So Bret, what's your take on investment firms? They basically use your money to make high interest on it and only offer you a piece of the profit made off YOUR money.

Man. I never thought I would hear the term straw purchase when referring to my coin hobby.
If someone had their parents or sibling buy another 2 sets, would that be unethical in your opinion?
I get not liking companies trying to get around the limits imposed here. But it is a free country.

Too much fun.
Sounds like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and the business man using all his employees to find the golden ticket.
MCM should not be allowed to do this, but... I have a lot of relatives that could use some cash.

Quote: what's your take on investment firms? Just like any business, if they lie or break the investing rules, then they would be behaving in an unethical manner. However, most provide a service in an ethical manner that benefits both parties. Nothing that I wrote should have led you to believe that I would think otherwise. Quote: I never thought I would hear the term straw purchase when referring to my coin hobby. While it most often refers to illegal gun purchase, it is a general term. I'm open to another term if you have one. Quote: If someone had their parents or sibling buy another 2 sets, would that be unethical in your opinion? Assuming they did so to get around the order limit restrictions, absolutely. And I'll add that it's no different than the companies doing the same thing. Quote: But it is a free country. FREE means not under the control or in the power of another. It does not mean acting without consideration for the consequences to others. Inherent with freedom is the responsibility to do what's moral, right and yes, ethical.

Has anyone ordered from us mint on their phone? I just found out I might have to be away from my home computer for this and I am worried about having to use my smartphone

I have never used the phone. I went direct from mailing in order forms to using the computer.

I called the mint when the ASE set came out in 2011. Got in on the third try. After what I heard about the web site, I feel I was very lucky to get through. If you meant using the new mint app, then no I have never tried that course.

Do a wet run csouts and buy something cheap just so you know the process. That's what I would do if there was a chance I had to use the app. Then again I'd probably go to the website on my phone and log into my account rather than the use app just incase the app gets overloaded

I've used the app a few times without any problems. It works nicely, but I used it when there wasn't a ton of people on the site.
