Quote: Has anyone ordered from us mint on their phone? I just found out I might have to be away from my home computer for this and I am worried about having to use my smartphone Reading this again, do you mean using the phone to dial the mint number and talk to a rep (which is what I assumed when I answered earlier), or do you mean using the mobile browser. If the latter, you can probably estimate how it would be by comparing it to any other mobile friendly website you access on your phone. That being said, as mentioned above, a test run is probably in order. By the way, since the mint site is mobile friendly, I wonder if the app (which I have not used) is native or simply a skinned browser.

I've seen mixed reports on results using the app... some said it worked seemlessly on the Liberty Gold offering and others said they had problems entering the CC info and validation code.

I just did a test run sitting right next to my wifi router...
It seemed much slower than by using my laptop a distance away from my wifi....
...and...I did not see a way to sign in before ordering...The only sign in was after I had stuff in my "bag"...might be an issue when the crap hits the fan on sale day...I always sign in before the stuff is available for sale

I have never used the phone. I went direct from mailing in order forms to using the computer. Same here jbuck. But on the 2011 SAE 5 coin sets, I resorted to using a desktop, laptop and a PHONE. And it still took 2 hours.

Absolutely NOT hollywoood... Truman & now Ike are the "instant" keys. With what the mint did by upping kennedy & closing speculation of reissue, and that we're 99.999% sure that Johnson and Regan will have large mintage too, it seals the deal for Ike. It was just too late for the mint to up the mintage on ike and they already messed up on truman... IMHO, ike & truman will soar (especially the 70s)

But with fewer two per hh limit they will be spread around more to those that want them so fewer consumers will pay to certify imho .

Quote: Is it a 3 monitor laptop jbuck No, just the inbuilt. The desktop next to it has three monitors. However, I am usually hammering on it: running the host OS, two VMs, and a handful of other applications. Best to use the laptop since all I typically do on it is CCF and e-mail. Why are you so sure that Johnson and Regan will have large mintages? My thinking is, they could've raised the mintages for Ike, it's not like the product was even on the page yet when they knew of Truman's strong sales. Also, Kennedy was announced up front as a mintage of 25K just like Ike was announced up front a mintage of 17K, yet they upped Kennedy to 50K. So, there was no reason why they couldn't also have upped Ike since Ike and Kennedy were in the same situation. Now, looking in the future, I see no reason why the mintage figure of 17K couldn't remain for Johnson (considering Ike remained). I am more leery about Regan since no news has been announced regarding mintage figures as of yet. But, I honestly think what has happened here is that the mint thought "Hey, we already thought Kennedy was going to sell better than these other sets, but it will clearly sell much better so let's up the mintage to 50K." I don't think they are even considering the others sets mintages other than a comparison for what to set Kennedy as, otherwise they would've raised Ike, so I can see the Johnson mintage remaining at 17K.

Because my guess is that for whatever reason they couldn't up the ike. Either they were already struck or there was too much red tape or production limitations to up them in time for release. Just watch, Johnson will be at least 25k and Regan probably on par with kennedy at 50k

You have a good point hollywood but my guess on that is only a very small percentage of buyers will only get 2. More than likely most will have 1 or 2 family members/friends to get them. So at 4-6 sets average per collector I don't think it will impact submitions much relative to truman plus all the big boy dealers will be buying from everyone and sending them in as well. I predict the fervor will be much higher than truman
