I'm in Chicago, but that's the last hub before Chicago.

Does this fedex smart post require signature confirmation, or will they just leave it on my door?

On another thread a couple of months back, I showed my Ike-themed custom folder with all the 71-78 Ikes, the 1990 Ike commem, the 2013 5 star Ike proof (with Marshall), the 2007 Little Rock commen, the D-Day commem with his quote on the reverse, and the three 2015 Ikes. I also left a hole for the RP and talked about how to make the "standard" silver dollar hole bigger for the Ike medal in the CC set.
I was one of the lucky ones who managed to order the Ike CC set this week.
I think I am actually going to leave the coin and medal (and stamp) in the CC folder and just display that in the folder with the other coins. I really don't want to break up the set.
What do you guys think? I CAN take the RP out of the packaging and display it along with my other Ikes (I am using an airtite foam insert as a "gasket" to adapt the silver dollar-sized holes down to Prez dollar size in the album). But I'm thinking not only the value but the LOOKS of the CC set will be better "intact."
Kevin.

Quote: I don't recall ever having a mint order ship UPS, so I wasn't sure what they (the mint) require. Just curious as to why your order is coming via UPS...the only time I get UPS from the Mint is when the total is $300 or above....all those require a sig Did you pay for "expedited shipping"? If so it might NOT require an actual person to sign

I paid the $12.95 for the 'standard' not budget shipping. And it appears to be a ups shipment. I left a signed note on my door asking ups to leave it on my patio. Front door is on patio surrounded by a privacy fence. It said it was scheduled for delivery today. I guess I will find out if that worked when I get home from work today. If not, I'll figure something out.

I got mine in the mail today. I paid for UPS shipping. I was sleeping when it arrived. The driver placed it on my porch and rang the doorbell then took off faster than a teenager leaving a bag of, well, you know where I'm going with this.
So no, no signature required for this delivery.

Mine came into Atlanta at noon and left around 3:30. Next stop Charlotte! Which is, as I said earlier, past me. I am only thirty minutes closer to Charlotte than Atlanta. Estimated delivery changed from Wednesday to Thursday.

My order that I squeaked in on Wed morning now shows to be in Dallas at FedEx Smart Post. Shows to have a delivery date of Monday. I shall be patiently waiting for the mail carrier.

Hi Kevin....I wouldn't break it up either. I think the CC sets looks very nice in the original packaging. Be sure to post another pic! Sorry JBuck. We are on pins and needles until you actually have the set in your hands
