...except that it was in the pawn shop's "pick 'em" tray priced at $15. Yes, it's common as sin, and this one's dull as dishwater (although a quick dip might work wonders if I were inclined to bother). My initial impression was that it'd grade in the AU range, but I can see how perhaps a case could be made for XF.

Also picked up a very nice Maria Therese thaler there for the same price, and brand new .999 ounce rounds were $17. Silver coins and bullion are getting just dirt cheap right now in my area, and I'm still not seeing any decline in the available supply.

I would say it makes AU
Quite cheap for a morgan in this condition.

I would assume the reason you bought it is the same reason I buy them. I simply love everything about them, the design, the feel of .7735 ounce of silver in your hand. I've got chills running down my spine as I type....

Nice pawn shop find! Common date Morgans are still pulling a nice premium on ebay. Where I live I can't find one under $22.

Almost a 100 mile round trip drive, so it's catch as catch can, I'm lucky if I get in there twice a month. I know I miss out on a lot of stuff in my area because my rural location means all the "big city" coin & pawn shops are at least that far away.

Great to see silver down to a fun level. Unless you own a ton, I guess. Any nice Morgan for that price is a good grab.

I may be going a little high, but I think it could make AU-55.
