I tried posting a link without success but it's ebay. Item 381290098994. Nice looking coin for the price does it look dipped to anyone else? I've bought from this company before and have been satisfied with them

I see numerous hits and dings on the face. Also, the oversaturated (not sure if that is the proper term to use here) photographs make it impossible to tell if the surfaces have been altered or not (but when in doubt, I always assume they have been).

This one would be a pass for me.

Pics are way washed out. It is hard to tell if it was cleaned.

I've no objection to their "AU/BU" description. That dealer is on my recommended list of online commerce websites, and I believe they'd identify it as cleaned if it were. Their images are usually good enough in conjunction with their rep, as they are here.

Just ask the seller their opinion. You will be surprised, perhaps, how many sellers are perfectly happy to take another look and answer you to the best of their experience.

If it is a dipped coin it doesn't appear to be stripped. Definitely an AU coin, though.

It's likely been dipped but it doesn't appear to be over-dipped. The price is inline with what an AU+ piece for this date/mm should cost.

I agree with ask he seller about the coin. I have purchased coins from the seller and the seller's descriptions and photos have been accurate.

This coin is certainly not BU. The pics are bad but I would be surprised if the coin was not cleaned. Even good sellers can make mistakes from time to time.

imo their pictures are a bit juiced. Yes, they are a reputable company and would accept returns, but the coin is AU and overpriced. You can get one cheaper in an auction with better pics. just my .02
