What is better for storing original mint wrapped rolls?

Does it matter for either type on the effects to the paper in the roll?

I liked the square tubes at first, but the clear plastic round tubes are becoming appealing.

The round plastic seem to get fragile over time.

thoughts?

I like the square ones for stacking purposes. When two need be stored on top of one another they round ones may fall over. Now if they could only make an inexpensive, square, clear one it would e nice.

I responded to a thread about which tubes were better for storing bu rolls maybe about week ago. I recommend Whitman round clear plastic tubes with screw cap.
the square tubes, Are not clear. and soft plastic which I heard is bad for holding unc. red cents.
I've been putting obw rolls of Lincolns into nickel tubes. wrapper and all for a nice fit. no rattle or loose fit.

Square will cause you fewer headaches, unless you use a special storage box to house the rounds (to keep them neat and orderly).

I, too, use square tubes exclusively, with storage boxes (can buy then as a package deal--tubes+box--at some places). But I do not have a direct answer about the advantage of square over round for original mint wrapped rolls, other than the general advantages (I see) to using square tubes for all. I suspect that you do not need to see inside the tube if these are original rolls (cited as an advantage for clear, round tubes).

I don't think it makes a difference on the effects on the paper in the roll, but I am no expert and cannot be 100% sure.

Original questions: What is better for storing original mint wrapped rolls? Does it matter for either type on the effects to the paper in the roll?

Putting lincolns in nickel rolls. Will have to try that. I've been using the square ones, and OBW rolls just don't quite fit well.

The square rolls works well for bullion, but I've been leaning toward the clear round ones for pennies for the color. A clear tube of BU lincolns has nice eye appeal.

Guess I will have to buy a few and see how they look.

thanks
