I have a 1891 Morgan NGC graded as UNC Details rev damage. Does that mean that the coin is in uncirculated quality but with damage? Why did they not put a number on the slab? I see a possible scuff that is 2x4mm above WE on the back. How can I know how much this is worth? I bought this with a slabbed 1884-O PCGS MS64, both for $90, which seemed like a good deal...

UNC Details reverse damage does mean that the coin is uncirculated and damaged. NGC and PCGS will not assign a grade number on detail coins as the damage can impact the grade number. Check past completed listings on ebay to find the value. Some completed sales show 1891 UNC detail coins selling between $45 and $60. Common detail coins can be difficult to sell.

So, what you are saying is that this is worth less than $45, right? Aside from the scuff, it looks like a 65!

1891 UNC detail coins have sold on ebay from $45 to $60. I do not know how much your coin is worth as each details coin is a little different depending on the problem, but it is highly unlikely that your coin will sell for MS value regardless of the quality.

I have sold some very nice detail coins and I always took a hit on the selling price.

Slider23, by take a hit, do you mean a certain percentage? My coin has a light scuff that most would overlook, but it was graded as damaged. This would not decrease the value to less than a AU, would it? I could not imagine this going for less than 45.

By hit I do mean a certain percentage below the grade value of a problem free coin. From your description, I would expect your coin to sell for around $60.
