I was at the LCS the other day and held a raw 1955 DDO. Pretty cool. They also had an MS68 Morgan that was a thing of beauty, but in my short time in the hobby, and collecting wheats, the 55 DDO is my coolest so far. What about you?

I was able to hold a 1915 Pan-Pacific $50 round many years ago at a Long Beach Coin Show. It was a thrill because I knew I could never afford one.

I've seen a lot of very cool coins. I've seen a 1804 Dollar, a 1913 Liberty nickel, and even a 1933 Double Eagle, but as far as what's the coolest I've had in my hands then that could be difficult. I've had a 1983 Los Angeles Ten Dollar gold commemorative coin before that I thought was kinda cool because it was the first coin to ever have a West Point "W" mintmark on it, but even that coin was in a slab. The coolest coin I've ever had in my hand raw? It might have to be the 1909-S Wheat cent that I found in my mother's old childhood collection. The coin has a lot of sentimental value and just...value value. It's a solid $100 coin which for my collection is a lot.

As a teenager at a coin shop I once held a really nice (GVF+) 1551 Edward VI crown.

It is not one coin but I held a complete set of Victorian Maundy Coinage, 1p, 2p, 3p & 4p, every year from 1838-1901 in a custom made album. All coins would have graded at least MS64.

Last year ,after I got back into collecting I went to my LCS to see what was going on after not being in there for probably the better half of 10+years. He remembered who I was and I had my gf with me and she was just starting to figure out how much "numismatics" cost. He whipped out a 1776 Continental Currency "Mind your business" ms 63. A cool 300+k dollar coin. I've held some pretty cool stuff over the years. Some stuff I shouldn't have had any business looking at,nevermind holding the coins.

I know I've held an 1895 Morgan in PF 60-something. Also an 1916 SLQ in AU-something.
For my interest areas the SLQ was the more important coin.

My two favorites, an SVDB with unreal toning in a PCGS MS-64 slab and an 1877 IHC in a 65 NGC slab.

Probably the coolest coin in my collection, and I have no idea what coin that would be.

1880 Proof Trade dollar and I own it :) One that story completes, I'll take the time to sure with everyone. Pretty cool how I ended up with it.

Just noticed this is in the modern coin section, if I were to pick a modern coin I'd pick the 2011 5 Coin Silver Eagle Anniversary set (bought it directly from the mint that fateful day), beautiful set in my opinion.

Probably a 1944-S War Nickel with mint luster and some steps visible. The guy who showed it to me is the same guy who paid 12 bucks for a 1971 half, and he claims he found it in the cafeteria of my school. I'm pretty sure if that were the case, it would be beat up so I think he bought it from a coin shop since he visits them frequently.

I have seen some really cool things at coin shows, but do not recall ever being able to hold any of them. The only other thing that comes to mind are a 1914-D Lincoln Cent and a 1875-S Twenty Cents. Both I wanted to buy (different times), but was a little short on funding.
