Sometimes I ask, 'what are the odds'. I pulled into my parking garage where I work this morning around 5:30 a.m. I got out of my truck and looked down to see a lonely Jefferson nickel sitting there.

Without hesitation I just picked it up and put it in my pocket.

Got home this afternoon and pulled it out of my pocket. Could the owner of this Jefferson simply not want it because of it's 'flaws'?

That's ok I thought, I'll keep it and here she is....

Ok, not like finding a low mintage beauty but still, not to often you pick up a 75 year old coin off the floor of a parking garage, right?

Whoever left it must not have imagined it's value of five cents.

If my arithmetic is correct, that coin is three quarters of a century old. That's fairly cool just by itself. And as Coinfrog says, if you get desperate, you can use it to pay the tax on a really cheap cup of coffee.

Ok, is nobody else making the connection that it looks like he was ran over and is actually bleeding. For a parking lot find its pretty cool even if it were a modern!

Me too! I found about $50 over the 4 years I was at high school by doing this. My friends started getting annoyed at all the money I was finding.
