I know I found an error coin, but not sure what this would be labeled as Thanks in advance for any input.

I am sorry. It is damaged. It took a hit and displaced the metal.

Not an error, just damage. A small piece of the rim was sheared and then bent over the edge.

It is PSD. Note how the rest of the rim is intact. You can see the metal displacement on the outside edge of the coin. The collar make the normal edge present. (also making coin rounded)

Thanks all. I'm trying to learn, but some PMD damage just looks so intresting that I guess I jump the gun. Anyhew, what likely caused this? An old fashioned meat tenderizer, cleat stomp, that type of damage

There is a movement in Numismadia to shift from PMD to PSD, Jadcubsfan1. Post Mint damage can be confusing, as many coins are damaged after the strike yet before leaving the mint. Post Strike Damage is the better term. What causes the damage is generally conjecture, unless you actually saw it happen.
