Nice, but not something that I would be able to afford.

I am enjoying the process of building my own twelve caesars set. Personally I would not buy it all at once. Also, if I bought any coins like that I would quickly have them out of their slabs.

Just got their prices in a reply in case anyone's interested:
"We have the Collector and Premium Bronze/Silver Sets available. The Collector Bronze/Silver set investment is $9200.00. The Premium Bronze/Silver set investment is $19,900.00. There have only been 18 of these sets that have been assembled."

For that much money I would need to know the grades of each coin. Not that I could ever afford this set. I'm done pretty good building one on my own.

Yeah it seemed a bit vague. And not sure what 'premium bronze/silver' set means - combining bronze and silver in the same set? I'm assuming not...

AVOID! CAVEAT EMPTOR! Total madness to buy at that price. CNG had one go for $2600 awhile back and they were all silver, albeit one fake. Please... I have no doubt one could assemble a collection at that cost, but yes, what coins are they. I would bet right now you could put together the collection of mediocrity they are selling for half that via CNG.

NGC's Ancients programme has been around for a couple of years now, so it's hardly new news. This company's target market is not, of course, actual collectors of ancient coins, who not only are capable of assembling a Twelve Caesars set all by themselves without their help, but who would actually prefer to do so. No, their target is the wealthy casual investor who may be getting bored with plain old gold and silver hoarding and is wanting to hold something a little different. Buy these sets, and you're basically paying the company to do your shopping for you. One the plus side, I suppose, you do get a nice box...

Buying the set sounds the same as buying a trophy collection. All well and good But it does not make you a 'sportsman'.
