Nice...especially that 31-D! Did the dealer try to take that back?

Kurt, Those dealers I think they do that on purpose to keep you coming back. Reason they are making money and keep on doing it sometimes on certain items. They want to keep you happy and sometimes give stuff away cheap. When I owned an tote the note car lot. I would give free auto repairs sometimes or give away free dvd players sometimes to Buyers of cars or trucks. One coin dealer I know gives out old coins as change if you buy something. Last time I bought an Ike dollar from him. He gave me an Half dollar , 1939 nickel, serval wheat pennys as change after I paid for Ike dollar. I said wow on the half dollar since I not had one in my pocket for years. Chevrolet454ss

That's sure nice of them! I've had the opposite experience, where they've been surprised by their mistake, and actually did a sleight of hand on the coins I wanted to buy. And get this--I know someone who found a very worn (AG) 1856 FE cent in a junk bin. I suppose that wasn't intentional...I live for finds like that!

What's going on with the Merc Dime on the top in the middle, seems to be a bit oblong? Or is that just a bad shadow?

Nice finds for sure. Did you intensionally leave off the name and location of that place so none of us can beat you out of the next pile?

What I like about this dealer is he never searchs the bulk silver or copper he buys. He just gives them a very fast once over. He states that he does not have the time to check every coin or pay his helper to search. Hes happy that it brings me back into the shop 3 times a week plus I share my finds with my local coin club. Its up to them if they wish to visit his shop. He never has ask for a coin back that I have found, in fact alot of times he has offer to buy the coin back with out any money coming out of my pocket yet!!

What looks like damage to a few of the coins in the pic, is only from my scanner.
