I think it was last week I picked up some more Ike dollars.

When-Do-You-Have-Enough-Ike-Dollars?

My motivation, I think, is to buy coins that in a few
years I can try to sell at a profit, and to keep busy
when I am older than I am now.

I have to point out that I am in a position where I can
buy some coins at a good price.

I am starting to wonder if I will be able to sell a large
volume of coins, or will I not want to spend the time and
effort selling on ebay.

I am sure I have more but this is the bulk of my Ike's

Pictured are about 600 Ike's, I am sure I have more, but did
not want to dig them out.

I am really getting to the point where it is hard finding a
place to put all the coins I am accumulating.

My guess there are members here, that have a lot more Ike's
that I do .....

My question is when do you stop buying them?

Or, if you get them at a good price do you keep buying?

You can never have enough beautiful ikes. Very amazing collection you have. If you feel that you are getting too many ikes, I guess just start buying ones that appeal to you.

I don't wish to be a party-pooper. I have one. That's enough. I never cared for the coin.

Please excuse Jbuck. I found him catatonic and staring at the photos in this thread. I have have him on fluids and expect a full recovery.

In the future I ask you to give him fair warning.

Thank you,

Sorry Jbuck ... Try to warn next time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The album in the second picture is 8176 Eisenhower with proofs.
The page in the last picture is from my dollar date set album.

------------------------------------

What I observe, the blue Ike's, in blue envelopes.
The 1971 have a different envelope than the 72 through 74.
And it seems like the 71's get more milky than the others.
Not sure if there is a connection..

-------------------

I really need to do some research on what the blue Ike's sell for.
I know where another stack of them are, but not sure if I want them
if the price is not right.

------------------

In the second picture there are 39 blue Ike's, in envelopes.

On ebay the seemingly average selling price for the blue Ikes is $8-11. The brown Ikes are more but not sure what they are about average. And as always enjoy your posts! :)

Is the dollar date set 7172?
I think your posts add something new to my want list everyday. Luckily I don't pull the credit card out right away or the new addition on the house wouldn't be happening, but my office would be floor to ceiling with boxes of coins... Although I do think I'll be picking up the album, it'll help organize my chaos.

Seeing that many of them at one time is like the food coma after Thanksgiving.

I have to be careful when I reload this page. Ease into it.
