Is this coin a DDO? I can see extra thickness in 98 in the date, RTY, and the S in trust. I have compared it to other 1984P's that I have on hand and it is definitely different.

I think you are seeing Die Deterioration. It happens a lot on the right side of the date, left side of LIBERTY and the tops of the motto.

Seems to show more on the single squeeze dies.
