First of a couple of coins I won tonight. "Date night" coin?

This interesting coin is in a 1st gen PCGS slab, CAC stickered. It's not noted on the label, but there is DEFINITELY something weird with the date.

Thoughts on grade? Using seller pics for now.

Grade posted: PCGS MS62 (CAC Green). I'll take pics with coin in hand. Most of you were in the AU camp, but Westcoin got it right!

Almost seems like the date is touching Liberty. Not an expert by any means of Seated half dimes, so I have no idea.

I'm not 100% sure however I think the variety is V-1

Blythe writes, "
Quote:
V-l has a strong strike with wire rims. The head and shield are full, but there is some weakness in the toe. Date shows some weakness in the upper portion of the numbers, particularly the 185, as well as the left arrow. All stars are bold, and minor weakness of dentils may be present at 5 o'clock. Die clashes, obverse and reverse.

I'd guess this is graded AU-55

MS61 or MS62 the toning isn't the prettiest but the coin looks Unc. better than MS60 but not MS63 nice.
