Had a guy win two of my auctions. A week ago. My ebay dashboard says he hasn't paid. And PayPal also says he hasn't paid. Then he sent the below message. The shipping was free by the way.

Can't I just cancel this transaction? Since he can't figure out how to pay me?

Any suggestions?

"hello, I've paid for all itrems but there is an unpaid claim and there's no shipping set........."

Assuming that was his reply to your inquiry, about all you can do for the time being is file an inital dispute in the Resolution Center, stating you case, and let E-bay take over.

If you are using PayPal, ask him to doublecheck the email address where he sent payment. I have seen that cause an issue before. (Maybe check that you gave him the correct one also.)

Possibly ask buyer to send you proof of payment - such as forward to you the paypal E-mail which reports his payment to him?

If this is a newer eBayer, they may simply be misreading or misinterpretting something along the way.

I always believe my customers are right until it becomes obvious that they are not. Which happens very rarely.

If you have not received payment, you can cancel the sale with the reason being that the buyer no longer wants the purchase. The buyer does have to okay that when ebay sends them the message.
