found this last week (I think) and placed it in the junk pile that didn't fit into the rolls to take back to the bank. Today after looking for copper pennies from there (started saving them) I noticed this! Glad I didn't rolled it

What is the name of this error, is it off center?

Wow! Very nice find! And great first error find! I've been looking 7 years and still haven't found one if those out in the wild. And, btw, saving copper pennies. Good idea. I've been doing that for years as well and am nearing about 100 lbs now.

Thanks everyone.

I actually just started to save them. I gathered about 450 copper coins from a box and tried selling them to a coin dealer in the flea market. He bought all for $8. Made me want to start a jar full of them :D

Nice find. It would be amazing if it was WAM too. There was a post a few months ago of an off center WAM

One of that last years that moved the coins in bags. After 2001 they used bins to ship the coins to the locations to be rolled.

Hey coop: I saw you post recently about these lines. This is some more evidence they are not on the dies, since the off center did not strike this area
