I've heard the term ghosting but was never sure of what it meant. I've looked it up to no avail. Does anyone have examples? Is It worth anything?

It is transfer of design to the dies through repeated strikes of coins.

Aka Internal Metal Displacement, or Progressive Indirect Design Transfer. The ultimate value of any coin is what the owner is willing to sell it for. If his price is too high for someone else, then he has "bought" it himself. The value of this one is $150.00.
You can look on ebay to see what average prices are.

I view this as having no premium. It is just part of the die aging process.

It's very commonly seen on the Great Britain George V pennies of 1911 - 1927.

It's also SUPER common on branch mint LWC's from the 10's and 20's.

Ghosting is not all that uncommon in the coins of many countries, but can be more obvious in coins that have good lustre.

So basically for clarification, a clash is direct transfer from the dies hitting eachother with nothing between them and ghosting is indirect transfer over time from striking so many coins the design of the oposite die is indirectly transfered to the other through the planchets

Cascade, you have it right.

It also happens more on thinner coins than thicker ones.

PIDT and IMD - I think we should have that one highlighted/underlined into the book of coin acronyms.
