ROF ... oh my goodness, I can't stop laughing at how amateurish this is! Seriously, my eyes are tearing up. It looks like they copied this drawing from a Dollar General coloring book!

So far I have all the $100 for $100 but I am torn since I would feel like a sucker for buying this amateurish thing.

Does the RCM selectively delete reviews left for coins? I was looking at the reviews for this one a few days ago and there were a total of 19 at the time and a star rating of 2/5. I went and checked again today and now there is only 8 reviews with a rating of 4/5. I would have assumed they screened their reviews prior to posting, instead it seems kind of shady that they ask for reviews and then go back later and delete the ones that don't benefit the sale of the product or its star rating.

Yes they do. It's all about sales and negative reviews don't help. Though like you said, you'd think they would screen the reviews before posting them. BTW, another shady thing they do is track your on-line movements on their site. I get that they may want to track hits to pages etc and even referral urls but when they send me an e-mail 'thanking' me for a recent website visit and telling me what page I was looking at, it just seems creepy.

I know we're off topic, but creepier still is when you 'google' something obscure, and a week later you begin to get emails regarding that 'obscure' thing. Face it... there is no such thing as privacy on the interweb.

I posted a photo on Facebook of Morocco with some Arabic writing in the background, and later that day, all of the ads were in Arabic for me!

When OspreyCoins posted this coin in the main Canadian section I told him how we up north have the X for X series and tgis coin is really not a representative of what the mint has to offer. The guy who designed the reverse is a wildlife painter and here is a better picture of a cougar he did. It is called "Feline Serenity".

Actually, I do not believe in Mint's transparency, they've could use the initials of the designer, but the actual image not his. We already had the Cougar $20 1oz 3 coins, and there this animal looks much much better.

His name is Claudio D'Angelo, so "CD" is indeed his initial, and that is on the coin. He has been working with the Mint, designing coins, for many years. Just do a search with his name with the Mint's search tool and you can see the coins he worked on. I think to be fair, we need to see how the original painting of the design looks like before we can really say which one is better. I somehow believe the original painting is much better than how the coins come out to be. Maybe the essence is lost during engraving? Also don't forget that the 100for100 series has a theme " Wildlife in Motion", so even if "Feline Serenity" looks better, it doesn't match the theme. Just my 2 cents.

My point is, that although Claudio's initials used for the reverse (and he is really good in previous coins), but the artwork not his. And it wouldn't be illegal practice, cause might be Claudio is the "mentor" of the actual designer.

Ah, the coin that killed my $20 for $20 collecting. Up to now I have them all but this one put a stop to the entire thing. I plan on selling them all for face and buy a Victorian 50 cent piece.
