Hi everyone, I just picked up this 1723 Wood's Hibernia 1/2 penny. Although it does have some surface granulation due to environmental damage, there is no sign of active verdigris.
While I am certain that it probably would make a details grade of VF, I know nothing of varieties of these coins. Does anyone have any educated guesses?
Also, would anyone know the general value of my coin? Thanks!

Not sure of the Martin attribution but yeah, I agree with VF details.
I'd sell one like this for $40-50

vermontensium- Thanks for the help! hmmm, maybe I overpaid. I traded in $85 of junk silver (but this was all scrap silver that I inherited).

Surfaces are pretty rough. I would say closer to $30 for actual value.

jerseyben- yeah, these images were shot in rather cruel, intense light. The coins looks much nicer in hand. In fact, on the reverse "Hibernia" side, the surface texture is barely noticeable.

Honestly, I'm rather surprised that as a colonial it would be deemed an atypical example - it seems like I see lots of Britannia-type Connecticut half pence with surface troubles. Yet, collectors seem to pay no mind.
