Hi Guys, noticed there aren't many info about these types of banknotes so I thought I'd just share what I found a year or two ago. I was lucky to have found it in the best condition you could hope for, flat to the surface and un touched like it just came from the printing press or whaever machine we use now. Anyway, will be posting a solid number a friend found, too, later! That one unfortunately was not handled by my friend properly by keeping in a purse; nonetheless either an AU-58 or MS-63, still need to reassess once more. Anyway, hope you guys can also share your find! Cheers!

Here's another one, confirmed mint with no crease or fold. It's really lucky given it stayed in a purse. I wonder how many solids like this maintain their condition? Must be rare as most people don't notice this kind of stuff until too late.

Northernspear I have absolutely nothing to contribute but I enjoy seeing your finds. It's also a good reminder to make it a practise of keeping a watchful eye on serial numbers.
If you have more, keep them coming!

@WildflowerAB: No problem! I'm just sharing since it seems this series hasn't commanded the attention it deserves. Would be nice to hear from others and see what they've found even from other denominations. Cheers!

I have looked for years and have yet to find a solid. Nice find.
I have found quite a few radars but did not keep them cause there were in circulated condition. Both notes are definite keepers.
Word of caution. The hologram on the new polymer notes can be scratched easily. Micro line like scratches if them are placed and removed from the holder. You might want to get them graded this will place them in a permanent holder.

@Sharebear: I am aware of the weakness on the hologram and appreciate your attention. The radar that I own has a few lines (scratches) but my friend's lucky 7s don't. Anyway, I do not think it matters so much as long as they're both mint.

Nice radar-repeater! Looks to be in nice shape. And wow, that solid is certainly an extremely lucky find in circulation, all things considered! Looks like there is a light crease and a bent corner; it might still grade UNC. Quote: I wonder how many solids like this maintain their condition? Must be rare as most people don't notice this kind of stuff until too late. Solids are actually quite often in good shape. This is because even some non-collectors may notice solid serial numbers and think they are cool. Especially lucky 7s. I have heard of bank tellers that open brand new notes to pull out solids, so many are in UNC+ condition. Almost solids, on the other hand... Will post any good future finds. I was just a little reluctant to resurrect an old thread to do so.

Solids and other special numbers are valued at uncirculated price in the Charlton Standard Paper Money Catalogue. Most of the solids I see in auctions are in uncirculated conditions. It stand to reason even non-collectors can spot unusual numbers and put them aside.
