For my 100th post I posted a new topic with photos ! I changed settings on my camera so that I will not have to optimize and/or crop future photos. Thank you CCF members....it's going to be a great day! I searched the CCF Forums regarding this coin and could only locate one topic in June, but it doesn't state the "Full Torch" error. The CherryPickers Guide indicates the error is rare and basically unheard of until recently. Does anyone else have any information? There is only one on e-bay with a good premium. Have a Great Day !

Quote:The designation FT for Full Torch will be applied to Roosevelt dimes having both upper and lower pair of horizontal bands split as well as the vertical lines of the torch being defined. Sorry don't think so, just a well circulated dime....

Uhhhhhhh... I don't see anything special. Can you post a link to where you found this information?

Thanks Type for that link, I didn't know this as well but the OP shouldn't use the term 'FT'...

I have found that the 1970-P&D dimes with the two grooves in the flame (Transitional Reverse) are nowhere near as rare as previously thought. I don't go through many dimes, but as far as the 1970 dime, I see about a 50/50 split between the ones with the grooves, and the ones without. Currently I have 5 total of these, 3 from Philly and 2 from Denver. So if they are rare, maybe I'm just lucky and can retire!
However, I have not found any from 1969, so I think that one might actually be rare

I want to thank you for your input regarding this fun little coin. The biggest error or variety for the 1970 is the missing S mintmark, found in proof sets. My images doesn't do this "disme" (the original spelling of dime) justice. I should have included a close up of the torch. After I found this error in my "Cherrypicker's Guide" and "Strike It Rich", I decided to make this my topic with photos for my 100th post! Learned a lot and had some fun with it. I also wanted to make others aware of this "new" error. Now I need to work on my signature, any suggestions? Thinking maybe a list of my oldest coins?
