Just a sticker like CAC, EEPS, etc....buyer needs to know what they are looking for though, as the seller could be wrong in any attributions they put on it.
I dont think there is anything illegal about it. When I sell IHCs, I sticker the Snow-variety on the slab.

Yeah but a sticker is a lot different then adding text that someone could think PCGS put it on there.

I'm betting it's a clear sticker on the outside of the slab. I have no issue with it. To me it's obvious it's added. Buy the coin and not the slab (or added stickers to it) :)

VSS is John Baumgartner, messydesk here at Coin Community and one of the most knowledgeable VAMmers in the country. He is who we recommend you send your Morgans to for VAMming. The sticker is his work.
Gotta know the field before you start casting aspersions.

Ok thanks for the info Dave, I was only trying to get to the bottom of the text that obviously wasn't put on there by the grading company.

VSS added the attribution sticker to the back of the slab. If John Baumgartner (VSS) says it's a VAM15A (or VAM whatever) you can take it to the bank. The Attribution sticker on the front of the slab was added by the seller I would assume to get the attention. I'm going to also guess the seller is a member of SSDC as he's quoting values from the VAMview (although it's the 2014).

Last year I added information Labels to two PCGS Currency Holders, The 1st was a series 1977A error note printed on Natick Expiremtal Test Paper that was never mentioned on the holder. The 2nd note is also a series 1977A $10 note that is semitransparent, where you can see the reverse outline on the obverse. This is also a overprint on back error... Since PMG made the announcement last week that ebay will only recognize PMG & PCGS as the only 2 Currency 3rd Party Graders, I feel the need to share the following I found listed on ebay the last two days... In the last two days I found 4 listings of PMG errors with the wrong Error Type printed on the holder...
