Picked this one up for $30.54 including shipping this week. I was shocked when I opened up the package. It is mostly RED, almost no marks. The clash marks on the reverse are stronger than most, with the ear from the obverse showing between the N and E in ONE. Care to take a stab on the grade?

It's beautiful.
I'd put it more in the RB camp on those pictures.
Based on only those pictures, if the color hasn't been messed with, MS64RB, at the worst.
It would be a worthwhile coin to slab, if it comes back details-free. $30.54 is an INSANE price for that coin.

It would definitely go RB, not full Red.....but there is a lot more red than brown.
I bought this one for my Dansco, probably wont send it in for grading any time soon. I just sold almost all of my slabbed IHCs through Rick Snow. Got up to #12 on the NGC registry. Just want an album full of nice coins at this point.....a heck of a lot less money than trying to constantly upgrade registry coins.

No matter how you slice it, $30.54 is ridiculously cheap.

Maybe it's a trick of the light, but it looks like there are the faintest traces of wear on the highest spots, like the earlobe and 2nd diamond on the obverse and the ribbon and berries on the reverse. If so, AU-58+. But if it's just color and the way the light is hitting it (which is what I suspect), then I'd have to say MS-65RB. It might even get beaned at that! Gorgeous coin, and an *awesome* pickup on your part! P.S. - "Longacre doubling" on the motto...

Do you have an ebay link. I need to lear what bad pictures of these look like. Looks like MS-65 RB at the VERY least. Could easily make MS-66RB. But I am terrible at grading AU and above IHCs from pictures.

TBOP, what are you referring to? I don't see anything at the bottom of AM on the obverse in the pictures or on the coin?

RedRaider , sorry my mistake, I thought there was supposed to be a space at the bottom between those two letters.

Absolutely terrible seller photos for a coin of that quality. Little doubt that is what caused stronger bidders to stay away.

It was purchased as a Buy it Now a few minutes after it listed. Quick fingers! No bidders.
