It says NGC AU58 in item specifics but is graded 62 by NNC. Is the NGC grade true? I don't think so...

This seller is a notorious "basement slabber". I think we have seen threads where this individual has cracked coins out of problem slabs and put them in his NNC holder. I would not put too much trust in the grade you see on the slab.

As I said before, With NNC, always assume one grade level lower (~10 points) and cleaned. They use horrible scans and their high feedback to make people believe the number on the label.

Because he knows most people willing to bid on that coin KNOW that NNC is bogus so he's trying to legitimize it by adding NGC.
BUT without an image of the NGC slab it should be treated as raw.
Also it's an ebay violation to state one of the four ( ebay) legitimate TPG's and NOT show the slab.
It used to be easy to report such things but not so anymore.

can we get this one removed? It's very misleading to have the NGC 58 statement in there. That is a blatant fraud.

Welcome to the real world and to ebay. People try to mislead others in the prospects of gaining a few extra bucks in profit.

He possibly sold something graded AU-58 by MGC and forgot to clear the boilerplate when he listed this one. Or he bought it as an NGC 58 "but he believes it was undergraded and is really a 62 coin."

It might be considered heresy by some, but disagreeing with PCGS or NGC isn't automatically grounds for fraud.

Heaven help you both if you ever make a typo around here.

I have the same opinion of this seller as any other expert, but it seems rather small to castigate him over a typographic error. He's run over 400,000 successful ebay auctions over the last 16 years, and I think by now he knows enough not to do something like that to deliberately deceive.

This seller sells a lot of coins. Most of them in the slab he makes himself.

In the real world of ebay, a 99.5% rating is poor, unless you have very few feedback and a single negative messes you up.

In this case, read the negatives (50) and the neutral (40) that show for the last year.

The one thing that I've learned, which is rather telling, is that when I'm doing my own searches I can tell this sellers wares by just the one photo they show on the main search page.

Really! I'd bet 95% of the time if I see a coin and I think it's from this seller, I'm right. Now, how is that possible.

Stay away from this coin; unless it's in a PCGS or NGC holder, if you buy it you'll have a hard time trying to find another sucker on which to unload it.

Could be a typo. Regardless of if it is or not, I don't see it as deceiving, but it does benefit him because if anyone is looking for an NGC graded coin like this, this coin will come up in their search results because that information counts as searched keywords.

This happens to me all the time when I'm searching for a specific date on a coin and people mistakenly enter a different date.

I've mentioned it before, but the one NNC coin I bought and kept was a Dahlonega quarter eagle graded NNC XF45. I bought it at a price appropriate for a cleaned XF since I figured it was a problem coin. When I cracked it out I discovered it had a filed section on the edge where a mount had been removed. The seller (not centsles) gave me a further 30% discount when I informed him about the problem; I give him top marks for his ethical attitude.

Bottom line for NNC: assume the coin is overgraded and has problems, anything from a light cleaning to filed rims, jewelry use, and/or whizzing. I've never heard of a counterfeit in an NNC slab but I assume that is possible as well.

Before and after:

Simply don't buy from centsles or anything he's ever touched. I once saw an auction for an NNC slabbed 1834 N-5 cent that clearly wasn't.
