Awesome find Agrippa! I'm a little late to this one-can you confirm a small die crack from the rim to the head at about 1 o'clock? I do believe I see it and that would confirm its from the same die(does not have to have the crack tho) I have 2 of these now one slabbed 1 raw and both have the crack

It may have been one of the 4 different dime years that didn't have a mint mark? (not counting the previous Philly dimes and the 1965-1967 dimes.

That's wickedly cool. I never knew about this one, probably passed on me and never pay attention to it, now one more added to the list.

I have no problem with bumping up an old thread. Adding current new images to an existing thread is handy for those who search for subjects. I feel it is better than starting a new thread unless you are posting your new coin.

Quote: those who search for subjects I look through the old posts all the time - it's been a good learning tool for me and I have often wondered if asking a question on it would still be allowed. So many times the past threads are never finished - what was the out of the coin? Drives me crazy sometimes, so I always try to finish each of my posts.

Coop in the last image the 1982 really isn't a "no S" it is a no P. It is a business strike and no 1982 business strike dime ever came from San Francisco with or without an S.

1982 roosevelt is the only known business strike coin in the US ever put into circulation missing its intended MM. '72 and '75 business strike dimes did not have any MM from the phily mint(P mint mark did not start on the dime until 1980)
