Havnt found one this bizzare in the 240,000 + or - cents I searched in last 22 months. Ya know I did the math...apparently I Havnt searched a million as I spouted off several months ago. Its shy of only a quarter million. I learned simple addition 2300 × 100 = 230,000. See, I'm still telling tales again. Ghhhhad for those who have looked through a million...that's 6-7 more years before I reach a million, I tip my hat to those whom busted the million mark. Back to this hedious example, its strikingly fugly but I love it. Thanks for the description and cause. Learned something new.

The occluded gas bubbles happen on copper planchets. There may have been an issue with heat on this one. If the reverse is blacked at all, it may have been tortured with a cigarette lighter.

5 million? That's a heapom penny's to go through, 100,000 rolls ÷ (50 per box) = 2000 bricks. 2000 boxes × 27 lbs (brick average weight) = 54,000 pounds of cents. The average capacity of a double axle dump truck is 18 cubic yards of gravel or 28,000 Lbs GVW. So lets see...well that's about 2 big hauling dump truck loads of cents. Hmmm now I'm wrapping my head around what 5 million penny's look like. Besheeze that's alot of cents! You could pave about a 100 yards of road made of penny's.
