Found another 88 D RDV 006 but from different set of die tonight. No damage either. Pictures of obverse are in this order:
Center left: normal RDV 005. Top right: damaged RDV 006 (found 7/2017). Bottom right: Tonight's find.

Reverse: Top left (tonight's find). Middle: damaged 006. And bottom the normal RDV 005. Although not as prominent as my damaged example due to weak strike and die stress the horizontal bars are discernable under high magnification. The tail on the top of G appears to exceed the middle of the horizontal bar on bottom of G due to either Die Deterioration or sliding.
Its just a weak example, my 1988 Philly RDV 006 slabbed PCGS is a weak lame sstrike like this one.
Yes of course I could be in error but in hand the bars are there. My pictures are unsatisfactory, my apologies.

Hey crazybo how r ya? The 88D's in MSRB have hammered down at from $378 -$450. The one RED example hammered at $900 in July (Greatcollections). On the bay AU examples go $180-250 in ANA'S slabs. GC listed an MS67 88 D PCGS in October, I and another bidder caught it on its first day listed (it was an RDV 005 slabbed incorrectly as RDV 006). Ian wrote me back after he immediately pulled it and confirmed after scrutnity it was in fact incorrectly attributed. Be careful buying one, if the tail of the G dosent poke down (and I mean poke down) and the horizontal bar on G don't poke in it just ain't the RDV 006. In Missouri language don't they call that die pattern a "cornnubbin" variety? Hahahehe
My pics. are garbage, the one I found tonight is the 006 and its solid MS 62 RB. Maybe lowball RD once I dip it in acetone but not likely. According to what I read there's 8 dies for the 88 and 12 for the 88D. The Philly example I have is weak on the inside
G like the one I found tonight but it too has an obvious monkeys tail hanging down the bottom of the G. Now for the fun part, identifying the die #.
Bottom line crazybo, there worth a couple hundred minimum slabbed.

News flash. I was hallucinating when I posted this. Under 20 × magnification the said coin is actually a simple die irregularity, chip, or something? It ant the RDV-006. Now to save myself from this sensational claim I could have simply looked at distance of the FG from corner of memorial...duh. Compare the FG to the actual RDV-006 (center coin) and its obvious that I'm a loser. Dratts foiled again batman!
